Balayage

Balayage is a term that comes from the French word ‘balayer’, which means to ‘sweep’. The technique refers to how the stylist paints the product onto the hair, resulting in a gradual, natural-looking colour. Its Inspiration was sunkissed hair but since has been customized over the years.

It is often confused with the term ‘Ombre’, another word from the French language. The difference is the layout and application. Although both techniques are always customised, Balayage tends to have more options to personalize depending on the face shape and desired result.

The Balayage service helps to add dimension and luminosity to the hair. It is a high in demand service as it can suit everyone while delivering you the best of both worlds. Sun-kissed coloured hair.

Ombre

Ombre comes from the French meaning ‘ shaded’. Two or more colours are gradually blended into one another usually going from dark to light.

The Ombre Technique should always appear as an even fade yet it can be as subtle or as bold as you like. Ombre is where the mid-lengths give a gradual fade and the ends of the hair are fully saturated.

This technique looks great on all hair types and colours. Some can be blonde, others brown, some even resulting in a grey ombre, the list can go on and on.

If you want the best of both worlds, both dark and light, ombre may be the service for you
