First went in as I was recommended by a friend to get an nanoplasty. OMG love and so glad I tried it on my untamed hair. The treatment has kept my volume and curls and my hair is always smooth and so much easier to maintain. I also got an colour to cover my greys and we went through a consultation and they asked me if I wanted to go back to my natural colour. Love how they transformed my hair to its beautiful natural colour with highlights that looks amazing in the sun. I’ve been dying it black most of my life. Always walk out of the salon feeling like a fresh new me. Found my new salon. Love the team and the conversations! Always a treat and get so excited when I go in! See you guys soon 🫶🏽

Had my first experience with Marcelo & Co getting a nanoplasty to control my frizzy hair, especially for my trip to Bali. Can’t recommend them enough, Marcelo was great and the results are fantastic! Can literally go pool to dinner with wet hair that dries perfectly. Will be repeating for sure! Thanks guys, sorry I didn’t make it in to get the shampoo!

Lovely people to meet and talk to, out of all the hairdressers and barbers ive been to they are the only ones who explained and demonstrated how to look after my hair. I had an amazing experience at Marcelo & Co! I recently had my hair balayaged and treated to the most incredible head massage, and the results are absolutely beautiful — I’m completely in love with my hair again. The whole team was incredibly welcoming, especially Marcelo, the beautiful person who worked a miracle on my head. Best Salon I’ve ever been too, not only did they give me a completely new colour and cut, I have so much trust in them and their judgement. Genuinely want what will look best for my hair and genuinely care. Will forever be coming back here! I’ve also always been terrified of hairdressers but I know they would never do any to jeopardise my hair, including its health, which is hard to find when you have curly hair. Great curl knowledge and cut!!

Yesterday I had my 2nd visit to Marcelo & Co Hair Design for a Keratin Nano Plasty hair treatment. The first time time was with Danny and the 2nd visit was booked with Marcelo. I travel 1 hour to see them as their customer service, knowledge and expertise are like nothing I have ever experienced before. You instantly feel a warm welcome and feel comfortable and relaxed within minutes. These two are legends in their fields and I hope they know their true worth. Thank you for yet another amazing experience with excellent results. I am hesitant to go anywhere else as nowhere else compares. Thank you Marcelo & Danny.

During my stay in Auckland, I booked to have my hair highlighted at Marcelo & Co. The salon had impressive reviews and I was excited to have my hair done as a treat to myself while I was solo travelling Aotearoa.

Unfortunately I was quite upset with the end result. Despite providing a reference photo, my finished hair did not meet my expectations and deviated significantly from the desired outcome. The before and after photos are virtually indistinguishable. I was upset as I'd paid over $300 for this service and felt that what had been promised between myself and the stylist had not at all been delivered.

I returned the following day to express my concerns. I was polite, calm and respectful in explaining my discontent and my desire for at least some compensation, but the stylist responded by saying that I was “aggressive” and “disrespectful”, and that it wasn’t “attractive” for a young girl like me to come in and act in such a way.

I was taken aback by his comments. I felt spoken down to as a young woman and invalidated, but most of all I was disappointed that the salon couldn’t apologise nor take responsibility for the end result of my hair. It was obvious that I didn't receive the service I was promised or expected.

I was travelling to Wellington in the next couple of days and my schedule was packed until then. I wasn’t able, nor did I want to have another hair appointment with the salon.

Ultimately, I didn't get any compensation from the salon and left feeling quite deflated. I felt as though my concerns were not taken seriously. The least I expected was an apology or recognition that I wasn't satisfied, but instead I was told that I wouldn't receive any compensation. It was quite an upsetting experience overall, not one that I will want to remember of my time here in Auckland.

I have been coming to Marcelo and Co for years and am always happy with my hair! But even more than that, the service is perfect. You are always welcomed with open arms, offered a hot drink of your choice and pampered with laughs and the best head massage! After I had my first baby, Dani, Marcelo and Tanya encouraged me to bring my baby along and helped to care for him while I was spoilt. They truly are like family and worth every second of the drive from Pukekohe! Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed! ❤️

Second time at Marcelo and Co - It just keeps getting better. Went in for a global colour and once again Danny was just absolutely amazing right off the bat. Extremely informative and helpful in helping me to choose a colour and reflect, as well as explaining everything that needed to be done. The service once again was 11/10, I have never felt more relaxed. I left feeling like a brand new person, and my hair had by far looked beautiful and felt better than it ever has. Danny is such a talented hair stylist, definitely one of the best I have ever met. No hairdresser could live up to Marcelo and Co for me, Best. Hairdressers. Ever. I cannot recommend Marcelo and Co enough! After trying many hairdressers in Auckland, I got very lucky to find Marcelo and Co. I don't see myself going anywhere else. Everybody is so welcoming and super friendly - it feels like I am visiting friends.
My hairdresser, Danny, is incredible with scissors and colour. He knows exactly what will suit me and always takes the time to explain steps to me. It was awesome to meet Marcelo and the staff for the first time. In a couple of hours of me being at Marelo & Co hair design, I learned a lot about my hair and how to take care of it to make sure it always looks great.

I made the right decision in choosing
Marcelo because he is very professional and knowledgeable about his skill. I feel the good vibes and passion in what they’re doing. Once he was done I was extremely happy with the outcome.
